Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans ripped health care away from 15 million people and are raising costs for millions more.

The numbers are damning.

Unusual? Perhaps in the past, but in the current Trumpian dystopia? No, not in the slightest.

Just another outcome of the pandemic of MAGA corruption that is sweeping America.

It's wild that we've reached a point where the President openly admits to firing people for political reasons, and his OMB director tweets about it like it's a victory. This is page one of the authoritarian playbook, happening in plain sight.

Day 11 of the Republican Shutdown.

Donald Trump is back on the golf course.

House Republicans have cancelled votes for a third straight week.

And Democrats are continuing the fight to protect your healthcare.

Mike Johnson is falsely generalizing the “No Kings” protestors as extremists to justify crackdowns. The truth is, they’re patriots.

These protestors don’t “hate America.” They oppose an authoritarian president who tramples on the freedoms and principles America was founded on.

Mike Johnson: "This hate America rally that they have coming up for October 18? The antifa crowd, the pro-Hamas crowd, and the Marxists, they're all gonna gather on the Mall. It is an outrageous gathering for outrageous purposes ... all this has gotta come to an end."

The nation’s largest private prison company is asking the Supreme Court to give federal contractors blanket immunity from lawsuits — including human trafficking claims.

If they win, private contractors could operate with even less accountability than they do now.
The Human Trafficking Case That Could Hand Government Contractors Blanket Immunity
In a little-noticed Supreme Court case, the country’s largest private prison operator argues companies should be shielded from lawsuits when doing the government’s dirty work.

It's clearer by the day that Columbia making a deal with Trump in July was a catastrophe for higher education as a whole. It gave terrible people a bottomless appetite for extortion. The other eight universities must follow MIT's lead.

If you look closely, you can see signs of GOP lawmakers fearing the long-term political consequences of paying more attention to Trump's demands than to the voices of their own constituents - or consciences.

United States attorneys offices all have prosecutorial guidelines – amounts of financial loss or property damage, etc. below which they won’t bring a case. I’ve never heard of a financial fraud guideline loss threshold anywhere near as low as 18 K, which is the amount of loss in the James case.

Soybean farmers get zero sympathy from me. They are gamblers, and idiotic ones, at that. They do not grow food. Soy beans are an industrial commodity.

The farmers I *do* stand behind are the farmers who actually grow food. The ones in California, who are being devastated by illegal ICE raids.

The elites, the billionaires, the powerful, they are all immune from the rules the rest of us must follow. They will get COVID shots and vaccines for their children. They will get abortions. They will follow real science while telling us to suck it up.

The Trump regime claims they want to stop drugs, especially fentanyl, from crossing into the USA yada yada bullshit.
Trump himself cleared the way for an actual drug cartel family to enter our country.
