Also it was so much of a better OVA Macross sequel than Macross 2 it's not even funny

i believe there's a novelization written by tomita that goes far more deeper into hibiki's background as a reporter and his escapades. hasn't been translated as far as i'm aware.

Macross II: Lovers Again

There's SO MUCH I like about this on a conceptual level - the protagonist being a reporter instead of a pilot is a really cook hook, I like some of the themes like asking what culture is and what it means and who gets to control it

But MAN is it tragically undercooked
