El truco para que un "provida" apoye el aborto es decirle que el hijo es suyo

La universidad pública no la apoya ni el PSOE. La calidad formativa está básicamente huérfana de partidos que la defiendan.

I was on the board of Fenway and I warned the then CEO in 2023 that this would happen. This was cowardly capitulation sacrificing trans youth.

1. In a major capitulation to Trump, Fenway Health, a center ostensibly dedicated to LGBTQ+ healthcare, has ended its trans care program under 19.

It could have fought for its patients. It chose instead to roll over.

This is 100% a thing. I live in a city which has an unusual concentration of wealthy trans women with stable careers, but ALSO an unusual concentration of trans women who are students and deep in debt/barely making ends meet, and the first group seems to pretend the second one doesn't exist.

I genuinely think Ari Drennen does not think of trans people who exist below a certain tax bracket, yet insists on generalizing her incredibly narrow and limited worldview to the experiences of a population pushed out of the formal economy worldwide.

Fenway health in Boston has stopped providing gender affirming care to trans youth.

I was previously on the board of this organization and I've never been so disgusted with their leadership cowardly capitulating like this.

Statement from Fenway Health explaining that due to new federal requirements effective October 1, 2025, they can no longer provide medical gender-affirming care such as hormones and puberty blockers to patients under 19, but all other services for patients of all ages will continue unchanged.

I honestly think if you are a well off trans person you either recognize that your circumstances are mostly by chance and that the system is keeping your siblings oppressed or you become entirely insufferable.

my hand hurts a lil and the room smells like a mechanics garage from the copious wd40 sprayed on the hinges. but i will be warm tonight.

9. California may still pass progressive legislation, but leadership is measured not by symbolic gestures—it’s measured by the courage to act when it matters. And when it came to the bill that could have made the most tangible difference for trans people this year, Gavin Newsom failed that test.

8. SB 418 would have been a critical backstop for trans Californians facing care disruptions. Under the Trump administration’s ongoing campaign of extortion, several clinics in the state have shut down programs for trans patients under 19yo, abruptly cutting off access to hormone therapy access.

7. A nearly identical law already exists in Washington, where HB 1971 passed earlier this year with broad bipartisan support—including several Republicans. The
measure, like California’s SB 418, allows patients to receive a 12-month refill of prescribed hormone therapy.

6. There’s also little evidence to support Newsom’s justification. Hormone therapy is among the least expensive forms of prescription medication. Generic estradiol tablets often cost under $20 for a 90-day supply, and testosterone modestly higher, but still in the low-priced generic tier.

5. In his veto message, Newsom cited concerns about rising healthcare costs for other Californians, writing, "Prohibiting this cost containment strategy is likely to result in an increase in enrollee premiums to offset costs incurred by health plans and insurers.”

It's a familiar refrain.

4. The bill, SB 418, passed with huge majorities, with 60 votes for it and 18 against in the California assembly, and 29 votes for it and 10 against in the California Senate. The bill would mandate that insurers and pharmacists dispense 12 months of hormone therapy for those prescribed.
