For most of the 80's we were on public assistance, food stamps, powdered milk and the good ass government cheese delivered on the 1st. By far there are more white ppl getting these bottom of the barrel scraps, but the Welfare Queen lie lived much longer than Welfare did.

Growing up where I grew up (43605, 3x public housing projects), it was mostly kids/teens trying to trade food stamps (they were tear off pieces of paper that came in a booklet, like a checkbook, but with fixed values) for cash. Maybe that's just because I was a kid, tho.
