RIP Nabil Shaban, Jordanian-British actor and iconic performer with disability. Founded the Graeae disability theatre company. Appeared in City of Joy, Wittgenstein, and Children of Men. Famously played the capitalist alien banker Sil in Doctor Who.

He says they are in "active negotiations" to ensure that Tubi can be the home of Looney Tunes for "quite a while — likely years."

I need to track down Witch in the Window (2018) to see if his streak of winners continues

But honestly, at this point I'm looking at buying DVDs of all of them

Really shows what you can do with great script, solid acting, and good direction

Makes me happy to see these sorts of films getting made!

Just some horror recs - The Harbinger (2022) and We Go On (2016) both featuring Andy Mitton as writer/director.

Great, low budget, creeping dread, character based horror with a lot of heart.

Same chap did a cosmic horror film yellowbrickroad (2011) which I remember really liking too.

He looks unaccustomed to such gentleness, seeming to jerk his head back.
