I've got a new book out! Cult Britannia is a 400-page beast covering hundreds of weird and wonderful world of British horror and science fiction movies from the quaint post-war 1950s through to the end of the post-modern digital 1990s.

Available in paperback and on Kindle here: amzn.eu/d/ghGmoNA
The front cover of a book called Cult Britannia. The title is in large white letters against a Union Jack flag background, where the central red stripes are made from strips of film. The subtitle reads Great British Genre Movies from the 1950s to the 1990s.

My latest X-Files rewatch has reached Humbug, the episode where Fox Mulder, a man who constantly drops reams of obscure paranormal lore at the slightest excuse, apparently hasn't heard of the Fiji Mermaid, the most famous cryptozoological hoax of all time.

Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world,... I feel like I can't take it. And my heart is just going to cave in.

Yeah, I had no idea for a long time even when working with him. It was very strange to learn that "Pete at work" was a pretty big rock star in Europe.

My first job in comics was working alongside Pete Nicholls on Cartoon Network/Hanna Barbera stuff in the 90s. Every year he'd use up all his time off to go on tour with IQ. He gave me a ton of his old Spidey stuff when he had a big clear out. Lovely man.

I'm not a medical expert, but is it a good idea to inject a dangerously large bubble into your veins? Asking for a G20 economy.
Sky News headline from January 2025 reading "
UK to 'mainline AI in the veins' under new plans from Sir Keir Starmer

The government will be hoping the plans - with promises of billions of pounds and thousands of jobs - can help stymie the claims they are mismanaging the economy and stunting growth in the UK." Futurism headline from October 2025 reading "Bank of England Warns of Impending AI Disaster. The risk of a sharp market correction has increased. The Bank of England has sounded the alarm, warning of an intensifying risk of a “sudden correction” in global financial markets driven by the spending frenzy on artificial intelligence."

Ridiculously excited to have a strip in this. Deadline in particular was a seminal comic/mag for Teenage Me so this is a real bucket list gig.

Groucho and Margaret Dumont reunite after many years, and for the final time. This episode of The Hollywood Palace, a tv variety show that featured a different host each week, was filmed in 1965. Here they reprise their legendary bit from Animal Crackers.

Margaret died 3 days later. She was 82.
