@old55.bsky.social is describing the coast guard. That’s what they do every day. They don’t shoot criminals on sight because that’s illegal - instead they shoot out the suspected drug boat’s engine (but only when they refuse orders to stop). Then they board the vessel, collect evidence, and so on.

While SNAP is in limbo between politics and courts, grocery stores and apps have offers for both SNAP recipients and people who want to donate food (e.g. Instacart Community Carts).

Would’ve been great if these businesses had advocated against politicizing SNAP with the shutdown, but here we are.

Yeah I’m not familiar with the details. I just remember when the alt park service account was posting number station and conspiracy theorist stuff people called it out and said not to follow. Didn’t know there were various alt gov factions to keep track of.
