Good idea. Something to think about

Great episode really puts clear that nothing will change until we eliminate the corrupting influence of money and lobby groups on the parliament and the media in Australia.

Hey Dave, can we have an episode to discuss what changes we need to get money out of media and politics?

Such a convivial atmosphere. Over at The Australian, these are “hate rallies”. But there are rallies of bonhomie, and a shared desire for fairness. Imagine The Oz having anything so completely wrong eh?

Great article, cheers. So true about Zuck trying to force his dumb ideas on everyone. AI is like that U2 album that appeared on everyone’s phone. Soulless drivel that I don’t want or need and it needs to fuck off immediately.

Massive crowd in Melbourne/Naarm today (in case you thought this movement was going to be placated with more colonisation). Until the occupation ends. Until Western war criminals and their enablers face justice. Until Palestine is free.

Superb speeches on the whole as well. The applause and yelling for the Gaza journalist sounded like a goal had been scored at the MCG. No wonder he was silenced by the love he saw in front of him.

Another great show, best yet I would go so far to say and Ronni exposing the reality of the NACC as a public education unit and not the promised "anti-corruption unit with teeth" really blew the mind!

Absolutely. Storytelling has always been about communication between humans, AI pushers overlook fundamental human need for connection with other humans. A story hits home because it comes from another human’s mind and we feel seen and part of a broader human experience

I don't say this to be fatalist, rather to move the conversation on. We're past this point. It's too late. The government has had many opportunities and won't do it. Dismantle corporate capitalism or this the inevitable media future

I think we need a Royal Commision into the media landscape in Australia with a view to ensuring balanced reporting, removal of propaganda and the media role in challenging any blatant lies by politicians and corporates.

A royal commission is simply a pointless exercise nowadays.

Most are toothless, with tame commissioners appointed and with severely limited terms of reference.

They are an easy way for a government to feign care while deferring action for years, and then ignore any recommendations they don't like.
