there is no hierarchy of citizenship.

there are only citizens. All citizens are imbued with the same legal protections and rights in the U.S.

Some citizens born, some citizens are naturalized, both are fully and equally citizens.

the end.

The tables will turn,” Gov. Pritzker warned, revealing that Illinois’ attorney general is now investigating ICE and DHS misconduct in Chicago. Accountability is coming — and no badge will be enough to hide behind. 👏🏽👏🏽

The last community I’m feeling sorry for are the New York billionaires threatening to leave the city if Mamdani wins on Tuesday because they don’t want to pay more taxes.

We have folks who don’t know how they’re going to feed their kids tomorrow—in the richest country on earth.

You know what would be better than SNAP?

Just give everyone like $500 a week.

Everyone.

Yes, even them.

As of yesterday, Oregonians are paying more for their health insurance and SNAP benefits aren't going out.

That’s not what putting the American people first looks like. I’m calling on my Republican colleagues to come to the table and get a deal done to end this shutdown.

“Republicans have done something even more insidious: They’ve decided to shut down the SNAP machines. So, even if we were to put money into SNAP accounts, they couldn’t be accessed by someone who has a SNAP card!”

For 17 years I have relied on SNAP benefits. I'm on Social Security Disability, Medicare, Medicaid & live w/chronic illness & disabilities, 2x cancer survivor & Lupus. SNAP is ESSENTIAL for my nutrition. Me & 42M are experiencing a President who does NOT care if 1/8 of ALL Americans STARVE to death!

Has Zohran considered saying that he recognizes the Baileys' right to exist as an imaginary couple?

Got tired of reading the news and getting mad. Feeding America backs 200+ food banks around the country and I've seeded with $500 for now. I'll match up to another $500 myself.

Pass the hat, RTs graciously appreciated, etc.
I'm supporting Feeding America!

Assuming democracy survives this, nobody should ever believe any conservative ever again who rails for "freedom" and "liberty" and against "big government". It was all a lie. All of it. Everything they claimed for the last 50 years.

study after study after study shows that literally just handing people money and telling them "do what you want with this" reduces homelessness, increases food security for children, makes it more likely people will find and retain jobs.1

There's no question that the @nytimes.com has ACTUALLY openly campaigned against Mamdani. Everyone in the city saw it. Why would they be trusted to report honestly on anything if he wins? The answer is they would not.
