Going to give myself permission to be worthless today at work. Somebody in the company died, I'm strung out on tense interpersonal situations, I got like 2 hours of sleep, and I kicked ass the other 4 days.

I don't have, like... big friends on here anymore. A lot of people I'm friendly with but nobody who seems like they'd still be with me if I deleted my account. It's a wholly separate compartment of the world with more people that scare me than make me feel safe.

I think the hard part is that fully withdrawing from social media kind of feels like it makes it impossible to make shows, go to events, be in any sort of community. But I also don't have that community anyway anymore, and a lot of times it feels like I never will. So maybe it's already over.

I'm having this back and forth battle on whether or not I should delete everything and just become an analog hermit. I deleted most social media a while back and it feels better, I removed the micro-video sites from my diet and things got WAY better, I mostly use Discord for chat, it's just bsky.

In Resident Evil Village, Ethan briefly nicks his hand on some barbed wire at the very beginning as you enter the titular village. This is foreshadowing for the fact that Ethan's hands will be repeatedly fucking annihilated every 20 minutes of the game's runtime.
