I think a couple of things can be true at once:
1. The Americans who oppose Trump do not "deserve" the pain coming our way as the world retaliates against the US
2. Us not "deserving" it does not outweigh the rest of the world deserving to take action to act to defend themselves from the US threat

1. Accepting the artifice created by the kind of miniature-work practical effects often used in tokusatsu and respecting the craft required to pull them off in an era with no computer assistance is part of media literacy
