ER patients are seen in order based on their severity of illness assessed during triage. If you are waiting a long time, it is because their are other patients who appear to be sicker than you.

I got fed up with Vance’s lies, so I made a video addressing a few of them:

-Why are ED wait times long? (Hint: it’s not immigrants)
-Are “illegal aliens” getting health insurance through the government? (Not since 1996)
-What about emergency Medicaid? (This goes to hospitals, not patients)

I had dinner with friends who have a 4 y/o recently and they are trying to teach him the concept of waiting. We were talking at dinner and he interjected, "Dallas, Dallas, Dallas, can I tell you something?" And I replied yes but in two minutes. Fifteen seconds later, "Has it been two minutes yet?"

I braved the war-torn streets of Portland to pick up dinner at Panera. Tragically, I accidentally ordered two tomato soups instead of one tomato and one squash as I planned. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.

Your reminder—or maybe no one ever told you—that complications from a measles infection include immune amnesia (where you lose immunity to everything), vision and hearing loss, brain damage, and a fatal brain disease called Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis that can show up years later.

Hundreds of children in multiple states are in quarantine and on remote learning due to measles outbreaks.

The decline in MMR vaccinations has resulted in the US experiencing an increase of measles cases with 1563 total cases & 3 deaths since January.

I predominantly post on Bluesky but occasionally I check my Twitter DMs. Imagine a life so devoid of meaning that you DM random people about politics and then follow up again over a year later when they don't respond and the topic is completely irrelevant. 😆
