I don't know why, but if all the lies he constantly tells, I find this one especially annoying. Maybe I'm just extra annoyed at Reuters for printing this like it has any meaning or could possibly be true.

Pew poll finds just 31% of parents accept their trans kids. Crucial to dialog around GAC which focuses on affirming parents. This is directly _opposite_ a 2023 WashPo/KKF poll 2023 (tinyurl.com/ph5u6pnh) which found two-thirds of transppl said families were supportive. @rikiwilchins.bsky.social

Reshare: Even as TSR and D&D’s early periods receive the gold-standard treatment, there’s much more to the hobby than one game and one company. But are those histories actually important? What is at stake if we forget them?

They govern the same way. When national policy is liberal, advocate for the principle of states' rights to be locally conservative. When national policy is conservative, decry any attempt to have local policies to the left of the nation. (And in red states, ban cities from making their own laws.)

"The views expressed by users @kaioken8026, @mrright8439, and @ZxZNebula ... do not alter the Court’s analysis."
The Court holds, based upon a full consideration of the context in which “Not Like Us” was published, that a reasonable listener could not have concluded that “Not Like Us” was conveying objective facts about Drake. The views expressed by users @kaioken8026, @mrright8439, and @ZxZNebula, and the other YouTube and Instagram commentators quoted in the Complaint, Am. Compl., ¶¶ 73-74, do not alter the Court’s analysis. In a world in which billions of people are active online, support for almost any proposition, no matter how farfetched, fantastical or unreasonable, can be found with little effort in any number of comment sections, chat rooms, and servers. “[T]hat some readers may infer a defamatory meaning from a statement does not necessarily render the inference reasonable under the circumstances.” Jacobus, 51 N.Y.S.3d at 336.

2. The Australian report, titled “Cass Review does not guide care for trans young people,” is the latest in a swelling body of literature debunking some of the most harmful myths propagated by the project—one laced with politically-charged and frankly shoddy pseudoscience.

Cheese dungeon is starting to take shape. Usually I try and ground my location designs in real spaces but cheese dungeon begs to be gonzo, so going through every single room and trying to make it more weird. Is definitely a fun challenge.

Patrick Bringley's "All the Beauty in the World" is at least as much about the author's journey through his grief after the death of his older brother as it is about the Met, or about what it's like to work as a museum guard.

I was reminded of Peter Bearman's study, "Doormen."

The only correct take on a fundamentally anti-human technology.
Screenshot of David Simon interview
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
