I am prepared to acknowledge that specifically praising Hitler in private might be a new thing

But as someone who was an adult back then and is part of one of the groups they want to exterminate or subjugate, yes, they have always been *just like this*

Definitely, yeah. I mean it's been a long time and all, but I can only recall ever having seen the blue ones on one occasion at Johnny's Toy shop near Cincinnati, which tended to carry import kits too. Most department chains only seemed to have red or black.

Initially, these were the only smaller scale die-cast Voltron toys you could find, but that changed once Vehicle (Voltron I) and Lion (Voltron III) got proper releases. My dad had picked up one of the red gladiators simply because it was what was available and he had a thing for die-cast toys.

I recall blue being pretty rare even when they were new. Most displays of these were of the red and black robots. The boxes described this as "the Voltron of Japan" to explain why it was never seen on domestic television.

1) Madonna's 80's mall girl aesthetic was such an amazing aesthetic that is totally goals material.

2) There was a Lion Voltron watch similar to that one that I had at one point! Fell apart really easily though

Yeah, like I never would have imagined it decades ago.

Like mostly I'm just thrilled that I even have a lot of these shows on home media, but typically the earlier, usually more expensive, collections were better done.
Definitely keeping my Funimation Ultraman Tiga sets even after getting the more recent release, lol.

Yeah, the original BCI Red Baron release was definitely better. BCI's Iron King set was nice too.

U.S. release keeps the 1080p and aspect ratios but is a six disc (8 episodes per) collection whereas the original language Blu-ray release is an eight disc (6 episodes per) set, so yeah.

I think I still have my prior DVD release but honestly happy to have it at all, lol.

A lot of the places that used to have the Ultra shows basically stopped once they showed up on the streaming sites like Tubi. A lot of the existing stuff was basically pan and scans of pan and scans too.

Kind of losing it over Matter Master looking like Tingle from the Zelda games.

Murphy Anderson did some really stellar Hawkman covers though!

Murphy Anderson covered Hawkman 9 (1965).
The Hawks have been encased in a diamond by the Matter Master. Katar manages to get a punch in.
