Il y a un truc marrant cette année sur mon bord de fenêtre: 2 guêpes se sont installées depuis quelques temps dans les Impatiens. Visiblement, elles ont quitté leur nid et ont décidé de vivre là.

Je leur ai mis une figue juste à côté, elles se régalent

There's a lovely large flock of Jackdaws and Rooks in the village and every evening they have a fly round before they decide where to roost for the night 🖤
If I'm awake I sometimes see them do the same thing early in the morning just before dawn 🖤

My luck was back this PM. Managed to find 2, with the same characteristics. Side light and flash showed up the hairs. I think you're right (unsurprisingly!), clubbed setae, and trichobothria on the abdomen and 4th tarsus, so pselaphochernes scorpioides. Do you concur? I have other 📷 if needed.

No joy yesterday finding any more. It's a fair bit wetter, and colder, but despite checking all layers in the compost heap I couldn't find any. Will have another 👀 this PM. 🤞The FSC guide is here, I hadn't realised the hairs were such an important distinguishing feature! Will bear that in mind.
