Our starter pack of quantum PhD students is now full! (Unfortunately Bluesky caps it at 150.) We're happy to report that we have rescued at least 36 souls from X who joined Bluesky via our starter pack!

This one is definitely fake since the numbers on the ruler go as
2, 3, 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 6, 7, ...

ArXiv versions of all papers submitted to QIP are due today, and so are reviews from all subreviewers.

I wasn't allowed to post my latest quantum computing joke. Was told it violated the no-clowning theorem

Wait, the first co means "commuting operator" and the second means "complement"?

Somebody should introduce a complexity class called CO and study its complement in the commuting operator model, also known as coCOco.
We remark that the co modifiers on both sides of MIPco = coRE refer to different things!

Using this tool, we uncover a surprising result:
quantum resources usually linked to bosonic advantage — non-Gaussianity and symplectic coherence — can actually make classical simulation easier in the presence of noise.

QC is not ready for primetime. This is an interesting discovery on its own merits, with applications beyond QC, though QC is heavily implicated.

The correct decision from the Nobel committee. If they had even muttered the words "quantum computing" the number of start-up founders posting about their quantum crypto coin NFTs would break LinkedIn.

Interesting bit of sociology: They are really studiously avoiding any mention of quantum computing. First and only mention came in the last few words of the presentation by Johansson.

Physics Nobel announcement tomorrow.

If you know and dislike a famous physicist, this is the day of the year to call them up in the middle of the night, wait 10 seconds, and then do you best Swedish Chef impression...
