I don’t agree that those are the biggest swings in Mariners’ history (that’s a big question!). But they are up there for sure. If we’d made it to the WS they might have been 😭

Thinking more about this—it makes sense when you think about how the Mariners have been a fixture of our lives since APRIL. For over half the year, almost every day, there was a game. Some little thing to look forward to amidst all of the craziness happening. Then suddenly, gone

I’m sure some of it is an ADHD thing but I’m really feeling the dopamine drop of the Mariners’ season being over. I was so focused on them for so long; I thought I would feel more relief to be done with the constant stress but instead I’m just sad. Baseball, man.

honestly the best thing the Mariners organization can do is to get Naylor a contract as fast as possible. I know free agency doesn’t really work that way but if they can get that done and done early, I think it send a big message to fans and to the players.

Yes he’s gonna run out of chances (with the city & the players) if he doesn’t learn, and fast. But the Ms don’t make it this far without the relationships they’ve created/the culture in the clubhouse. Relationships matter, especially with the type of players we have, who mostly seem like good dudes

I get there’s gonna be Dan hate after that game but my lukewarm take is that the Mariners’ core team only survived the Servais ouster because they brought in someone the players already loved. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Cal signed his long term contract with Dan at the helm

Cried a little bit in my car after school drop off, nbd. But glad I have a nice morning planned of prep cooking and catching up on Grand Prix France. Mariners mutuals, warning that this is will be a figure skating fan account through March 😅

They care so much. The team this year was built so much on relationships, theirs with each other and with the city. It made things extra special but also makes this extra hard.
