I am learning that a lot of you have strong feelings around "The Sign," an episode of television that is utterly ridiculous but also so perfectly structured that I am powerless against it.

(I do think it's weird they didn't explain what was happening to Bingo, but A LOT was GOING ON.)

In general, Bandit and Chilli are wonderful parents, but they make a bunch of unforced errors in "The Sign" that serious drag their overall scores down. A real shame.

The vast majority of the Child's toddler pals want to be ghosts for Halloween, and when I asked them why, they said, "I like when kids are ghosts," suggesting they don't have a firm grasp of ghost mythology.

The joke is mostly that New Brunswick would have legally recognized polycules. "New Brunswick" just struck me as a funnier collection of syllables than "Prince Edward Island."

I just watched this for the first time ever a week ago, and she is absolutely astonishing in it. It’s a movie about the difficulty of loving one person when a cause will always come first, and instead of being a long-suffering wife, Keaton is right there in the thick of that dilemma. RIP.

There are so many Diane Keaton performances to remember, but a lot of people haven't seen Reds, and A) my God, see it, it is a masterpiece and B) her performance as Louise Bryant is one of the bravest, toughest, least sympathy-courting pieces of work by an American actress in the last 50 years.
