I'm using self reflections to promote @epistemiclit.bsky.social's "integrity" theme... I started doing it after I got their newsletter. (They hadn't even announced the theme publicly yet.)

I keep doing it for the irony and hope it encourages others to ruminate on "integrity" and what it means!!

Sell my soul for fame,
My body rots away.

What principles?
I'm alone.
I'd rather be known.

Even if it's superficial.

Wanna hear some good news? My college students are using gen AI way less this year than in previous years. They LIKE drafting by hand, and their typed work is full of human heart (and errors).

It's a huge shift. ❤️

Hey #kidlit #poets! We're looking for a few camping/nature poems for a school collaboration. I'd love for these to be in a variety of forms. DM us or email @ [email protected] if you've got something that fits this. These will be used as examples for kids during their camping themed lit night!

An ornate antique mirror with a heavily tarnished and speckled surface, reflecting a faint, distorted background. The frame is baroque-style, featuring elaborate gold and black detailing with a sculpted lion's face at the top. In the top left is The Broken Spine logo shaped like a fountain pen nib. The website "@thebrokenspine.co.uk" is written in white at the top right. At the bottom right, bold white text reads: "Read Repost Reply #POEMSABOUT #IMPERFECTME".

Needed a change of scenery, so I took EVERY DARK CLOUD by @marisca.bsky.social to a park today. Excellent little novella to read on a sunny, cloudless afternoon. 😂

Hey folks: Who was it that promoted their book with a challenge to visit 100 bookclubs earlier this year? I remember it, but I can't remember the author or find the digital footprint for the campaign now.

I need to know for...secret reasons...

Why a newsletter? My agent said I should.

Why about publishing? I spent 2025 landing a book deal and I wanted all the time, mistakes, and stress to do some good.

Will it help me? Maybe. I did it without knowing what was happening. I look back now that I understand it. 🧵

Taking a moment to relish the fact that I, an indie self published author with the marketing chops of a can of mackerel, have nevertheless hit 50 reviews/ratings on Amazon for the first of my herd of books
