One of the major healthcare providers in the area has added a "virtual assistant" to their appointment booking process, and of course it's completely incompetent, and it transfers you to a call center that then transfers you to the actual doctor's office. 🙃

Actually, I just realized the main difference between Headless Chicken's plasma dudes and those others is lack of speed. Instead of moving as fast as a human player in deathmatch, they move at typical Zombieman speed, so they're way easier to dodge.

There's only one Arch-Vile and even though he spawns in a spot where he's surrounded by demons to resurrect, he goes down easily because by that point you've got a plasma rifle. There's also a very easy-to-find secret BFG that makes the final fight a cakewalk, despite it involving 2 Cyberdemons.

But once you do locate better weapons, the map becomes a breeze, even with a Zombieman variant who has a plasma rifle. Unlike the plasma guys in Scythe 2 or Legacy of Rust, these have very little health and only pose a real threat in their first appearance, in decently large numbers.

This map also trolls you by providing a BFG and soul sphere at the exit, which of course is a death exit since that's what Headless Chicken does with its episode closers. MAP13 starts off rough with having to berserk-punch two Barons before you find sufficient weaponry.

Once you survive this fight, there's one more wave with another Cyberdemon plus some Revenants and Hell Knights, but since they're all prone to infighting it's much easier than what comes before.

This one took me a few tries to get through, but the winning approach was to use a couple BFG blasts to carve a path through (I only had ammo for 2, on account of fighting a Cyberdemon in the previous arena), then chaingun the rest of the bombers while constantly moving to avoid the Pinkies.

MAP12 takes advantage of chicken blocking with one of the funniest fights I've ever seen. You take a teleport from the first fight and you're immediately surrounded by chickens on all sides, with the bomber guys closing in from all directions.

Update: you CAN facerocket if a chicken's close to you, as I found out while trying to fight a horde of Imps near the end of MAP05.

Played the first 3 maps of a WAD called Headless Chicken, which uses textures from Ancient Aliens but also has some weapon tweaks (pistol, shotgun, and chaingun all fire faster, max bullet capacity starts at 250) and lots of chickens running around. The chickens don't attack but they get in the way.

New problem: I leveled cooking up to 30, and that unlocked the "Appetizing Chicken and Leek Pie" recipe... which requires a higher level leek, which becomes available to harvest at botany level 39. Sure, I can buy it from the ingredients guy, but I'm trying to save money by harvesting ingredients!

It's also weird because quest items don't occupy main inventory space, each quest has its own inventory for quest items, so you've got one purpose-built space saving measure but normal inventory items don't stack. I don't get it!

Alternatively, the game should have stacks of items in your inventory, because right now each individual item- whether it's a resource, a cooked item, a weapon, whatever- takes up one full slot. So 24 leeks = 24 slots, this seems unnecessary.

I wonder if there's a way to expand your inventory, 24 slots really doesn't go very far. It would help if you had a separate slot for XP potions like you do for health and attack strength potions (they go in with your equipped weapons), but you don't.

Current solution: just harvest as many leeks as I can carry at once (24) to put into storage so I have enough for a while. That said, the current bounty requires making 10 chicken and leek pies so they're not going to last very long!

...are immune to cold damage, and my two-handed weapon ALSO only does cold damage, so I really should have kept another weapon on hand to swap out for these circumstances.

Anyway, the level 34 Shades are now a breeze so I killed the 50 I needed to get another Halloween mask, also one of them dropped an Epic-tier rapier so I equipped it but I also forgot the Wendigos on the most direct path to the leeks I need to harvest for chicken and leek pie ingredients...

I figured out a solution: walk past the goblin and up to the tower where the guard who ordered the food is stationed, cast immunity, and the goblin de-aggroes and you can complete the bounty. Then just teleport the fuck out of there.

Well, my cooking bounty board errands in Brighter Shores have become unexpectedly dangerous, the goblins at the Hopeport walls leveled up when I hit combat level 40 and they're now level 60, and one of them becomes alerted and attacks you whenever you enter the North or South Walls areas.
