My kitty Marcos has been very cuddly today. I love the fact that he enjoys my company so much.

A long-haired tuxedo cat sits on a cushy recliner chair, partially covered by a heart-patterned fleece blanket. The cat is looking straight at the camera with green eyes that are only half open. He has an asymmetrical black splotch across his nose and one cheek, and a black band under his chin that looks like a beard.

One thing I don't see ppl talk about:

Food pantries are often inaccessible to Autistic ppl & other Disabled ppl

Bus lines sometimes aren't near them

Disability can dictate what food you can eat

Often in food pantries you don't have much choice, unlike SNAP

I filled out my mail-in ballot last week (Ohio) and was disappointed that most of the positions up for election only had one candidate, or two candidates for two openings. I was much more enthusiastic about voting to increase funding for our rapidly growing school district. They need and deserve it.

There is a nice lady in my neighborhood who will be going around on Halloween during the trick-or-treating window with a wagon, collecting things to donate to a local food bank. My mom and I filled 2 large bags with food, menstrual products, deodorant & toothpaste to give her.

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50.

California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections.

Who knew saying “no one deserves to starve” would be so controversial.

I’ve never received this much hate for an article.

Folks are really comfortable saying with their full chest that they’re fine if certain people starve.

The disabled. Poor kids. Marginalized people. Immigrants. The elderly.

SNAP funding is set to expire at the end of the month, meaning 42 million Americans will go hungry. A large percentage of those on SNAP are disabled, and many won't be able to stand in a bread line.

I didn't grow up using the terms Auntie and Uncle like that, but I don't find it strange at all now. Trying to frame the use of "auntie" or "uncle" for people not related by blood as "lying" is ridiculous.

I just saw someone arguing that people doing the "grocery buddy" thing where they buy groceries for a family affected by SNAP cuts are ... "just trying to make themselves feel good" and they really should donate to food banks instead.

I told them their argument is evil.

SNAP is not just for the unemployed.

It’s for anyone who’s living below the poverty line, which sadly includes a lot of people who are working full time jobs.

But here’s the thing… even if it were “just” for the unemployed… they still deserve food!

No one deserves to starve.

I saw ELEVEN (11) woolly bear caterpillars today!! Three of them were even on the same plant. They're just so goshdarn cute! 🥰

A "woolly bear" caterpillar on a plant with thin leaves that are starting to dry out and curl up. The caterpillar is about 2.5 inches long and covered in a dense coat of short bristly hairs. The hairs are black at both ends of the caterpillar's body and dark reddish brown in the middle. It is unclear which end is the caterpillar's head.

My church congregation had a Trunk or Treat event tonight, so I got to dress up as a Monarch butterfly and decorate the trunk of my mom's new car to look like a pollinator garden. I spent about 16 hrs this week building decorations and was VERY pleased with the results.

I spent several hours today crafting, working on decorations for a Trunk or Treat event happening this Saturday. It's been a while since I've had time for art, and it made me happy to exercise my creativity again. 😊

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, there’s absolutely no need to RSVP for a protest. The list being compiled will eventually be for sale. Do not, I repeat do not place your name on any list. It will eventually fall into the hands of someone for retribution.

The best feature to tell those two apart in this video clip is the head size and shape. Sharpies have a little round head that looks disproportionately small compared to the body and makes it look like they have no neck. Coops have a larger, more normal-looking head that is kinda flat on top.
