One challenge was to create a 70s vibe. I think this version works.

In the 1930s, vets were desperate— sometimes committing suicide they were so impoverished. The government of Herbert Hoover decided their protests were a sign of “incipient revolution” and sent in the troops.

Dems floated a narrow bill to fund the military, which can’t move because the House isn’t in session. Meanwhile, DoD is now going to spend funds not appropriated by Congress to ensure military paychecks continue.

POTUS now both commands and provisions the military. Unconstitutional and SO dangerous

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.
A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC
News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

Now that Komeito has dissolved its coalition with the ruling LDP, the main opposition CDP is poised to seek Komeito's support for a possible unified opposition candidate for prime minister.

The move comes as the Democratic Party for the People appears no longer willing to hold coalition talks with the LDP, putting new ruling party chief Sanae Takaichi in a tough spot.

NYT reports that Letitia James’s great niece lives in the home that is the subject of the indictment.

The niece reportedly testified before a *different* grand jury, telling them that she had lived there for many years without paying rent. James visits regularly.
