Damn, haven’t seen a #spikeandmikes animation show in literally decades… Let’s go!
Almost forgot that there was a SPIKE & MIKE animation thing screening this weekend. There’s my afternoon plans sorted out…

Did not expect one of the best paragraphs I’d read about baseball would come from an Irish newspaper

I had absolutely forgotten that I had preordered the disc and virtually tripped over the box when I got home last night…
I’ve long thought that should we actually encounter non-terrestrial intelligent life, the collision between any of their religious beliefs and ours is going to get ugly real fast.
Crowd expresses its opinion, gets punished by government actors. Sounds like a clear civil rights violation.
Cartman was the asshole in that episode…

I wrote a piece on the work of writer and director James Gunn, who is engaged in a pretty incredible ongoing enterprise that despises bigotry and authoritarianism and reaffirms patriotism for progressives. www.vulture.com/article/jame...
James Gunn’s American Project
He is few critics’ idea of a respectable auteur, but his work is more consistently progressive than any other comic-book material today.

“Reek” you morons
Vice President JD Vance drew scrutiny this week by saying he hopes his Hindu wife converts to Christianity.

Vance said criticisms of his comments “wreak of anti-Christian bigotry.”

That view disregards Jesus’s teaching that we shall not know the time and place of His return. They’re just trying to force him into coming back and I believe he’s talking to His dad like “Yeah, no, I’m not falling for that trick.”
Was an avid reader of TREK novels back in the day and Ford’s were always some to look forward to.
No it is not, you racist piece of shit.

Lizabeth Scott in a publicity still for PITFALL (1948)
I remember when GdT was at NYComicCon to promote the film. They killed the lights in the main hall to show the trailer at the end of the panel and when the lights came back up, all the practical creatures were on the stage. Absolute magical moment.
Looks like I’m moving to Albuquerque just to ride the busses…
Zohran Mamdani's promises of free busses might sound great, but I live in Albuquerque NM where city busses have been free for five years and I'm here to tell you the truth. This is what every bus in my city looks like now. Think carefully about your choice this November.
