The library at #Wodonga3690 co-exists with a gallery space and currently one of the exhibits is made up of these tiny creations. The art on the walls of the boxes were made by locals. #TinyJoys

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

If you haven’t seen “1670” on Netflix, give it a crack. Very amusing, fantastic setting, great costumes and terrific acting. Yes, it’s dubbed (over Polish) but done well and worth it.

Alt: Jakub in his long priestly robes dancing along a path between women doing work.

Look if he gets a Nobel because he bullied his way into getting one, then every living Nobel Laureate should hand theirs back because it will, put simply, taint any value of such an award.

He is the last person who should be recognised for any form of positive achievement on the planet.

Just want to say I had a win today, and I really needed one.

AEG has decided to refund the cost of the induction stovetop I bought some time ago. It was not behaving as it should despite 2 technician visits and 1 saying it was working fine. My letter to Choice seemed to make the difference.

An unusual physical climate risk. A swarm of barrel jellyfish were sucked into the cooling system of Western Europe’s largest nuclear power station, shutting down the plant for 10 days. A marine heatwave had triggered the bloom of the jellyfish. assets.bbhub.io/professional...

I’m out of CBR now. I spent quite a bit of time in the cultural zone and it’s not like I could pop around the corner to the local Indian or whatever. That whole area is designed differently, I guess, not like the burbs or maybe the city. But I’ll remember this for next time. Thank you! 👍🏻

Is he feeling any better about not going on his OS solo trek?

Thanks Chris. I’ll bookmark it. 👍🏻

In exchange, I‘ve found this curious, funny series there called “1670”. It reminds me a bit of “Upstart crow” but is set in Poland (and is in Polish with very reasonable dubbing).

These neighbours are having fun. #Epping3076
A large and fearsome black and orange dragon with one paw resting on a snarling pumpkin. An inflatable. The entrance way to the house includes a standing skeleton, a frightening black-clad figure on the front door and a small stack of skulls to greet you. #TinyJoys The front lawn has hands reaching up from the ground, surrounded by small headstones and a few skulls peering up from the greenery.

A group of granite boulders nestling together. #TinyJoys Looking across a green, sunlit hill sprinkled with trees, under a blue sky with pretty clouds. A tall, grey, streaky dead tree with its fallen branches keeping its feet warm. #glimmer

A pox on all politicians who upheld this genocide. May your withered souls never know peace. May the images of the horrors visited upon the Palestinians people haunt you day and night, infest your dreams. May you never know peace and joy ever again

Is it…is it a horror movie? I can’t manage horror.

It took me years to figure out that every spring I was surprised by how damn windy it was. Every year! So, eventually I realised that Melbs is usually windy in the spring time.

I mean, I grew up here and don’t remember it like that, but maybe as a kid I didn’t notice.

The IDF have used / stolen illustrations and assets created by artists and animators to invent stories of their incursions. Thread in quoted post.

NEW: Since October 2023, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit has released dozens of 3D animations illustrating alleged Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian sites

The style is now unmistakable: satellite zoom-ins, black & white wireframes, and red-textured houses - a new visual language of war

But we don’t have to follow HTV cards. I know some people couldn’t be faffed, but a lot of us know our own preferences.

Yikes, David. Sounds like you’ve got it sorted for now, anyway. Phew!

Nyambeni has discovered that partitions are merely suggestions, not boundaries!

Our budding mini-matriarch scales the low fence with determination, desperate to reach the other side where her precious charges await. No barrier is too tall when there are babies to protect and comfort.
