A federal judge ruled on Friday that there was a “realistic likelihood” that the indictment filed against Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the immigrant who was wrongfully deported to El Salvador in March and then brought back to face criminal charges, amounted to a vindictive prosecution by the DOJ.

Aspen trees are the ones killed when governments etc spray the forests for the lumber companies.
After spraying with herbicide Aspen suckers/trees do not grow back.
Herbicides kill the roots too.
That is what they are designed to do.

This is an interesting project.
Thanks to a system developed University of Waterloo hikers can upload their pictures of specific locations so that regrowth can be accurately tracked.
One interesting point the article makes is that Aspen suckers/trees are the first

Judge Xinis notes that the govt's witness wasn't prepared for the testimony she ordered:

"I had very specific directions for what that witness should be prepared to testify about."
