Would @cityofabbotsford.bsky.social consider doing the same?

Those ebikes would help with all our hills!
Just saying... I'm not in my 20s any more.

E-bikes reduce air pollution - improve population health.
Maybe @fraserhealth.ca would agree e-bike rebates by cities are a good thing.

Striking to see the Q1 2025 lack of growth for tesla superchargers. (Lower than any year back to Q2 2019.
This corresponds with Elon Musk getting distracted and swerving into the "oncoming traffic" of politics.

Focus on Tesla Elon. It is important.

Surrey BC faces a $20 million dollar annual cost between now and 2030 to address coastal flooding.

(Remember that climate change raises the sea level every year) This cost will continue. It is important not just to adapt but to STOP climate change

With climate change, the sea is rising steadily, year after year.

Think of it in reverse. The sea-walls and the dikes to stop storm surges are shrinking each year. Lower and lower until they reach the top of the waves.

Everywhere, gradually wearing down.

This correlation is strong encouragement for Elon to stay focused on the important work at Tesla and leave government to others.

A graph showing quarterly growth of US High speed charging stations.
Each period shows tesla adding roughly 100 stations.
EXCEPT - Q1 of 2025 when Elon Musk was dangerously preocupied with political interference.

In Q1 of 2025 Elon Musk swerved into the "oncoming traffic" of political interference. It hurt society, progress and specifically hurt Tesla.

Look at the growth of Tesla Super chargers and what happened in Q1 2025.

The world and Tesla needs Elon to stay focused on Tesla.

Summer Outreach: 1,000+ new voices for climate accountability

As a taxpayer should you shoulder the cost of pollution alone? or should fossil fuel companies pay their fair share of the costs?

Violence only begets violence. Enduring change comes from building solutions, transforming minds, and cultivating what is good, in the human heart and in the world.

@bsky.app can you point to tips for searching and finding handles?

I’m not having much success and searching requires exact name spelling or the handle ( not helpful when searching for the handle)

If I want to reach out to a govt leader I don’t want to be using the handle for a parody account. 😊

Mining, processing, transporting and burning Fossil fuels is the main cause of climate change.
We've enjoyed the encouragement provided by your reports as Ukraine helps Russia decarbonize with the 20% reduction in fossil fuel refining.

This makes informed people angry at climate inaction by governments.

About *a third* of global fossil fuel CO2 emissions emitted during the Industrial age have occurred in roughly the last 17 years. The previous third was emitted over a period of roughly 26 years. The first third was emitted over a period of about 131 years.

We're always excited to see reductions in the volume of fossil fuel use, mining, refining, because there are clean alternatives that don't cause climate change.

Congratulations to #Ukraine for their diligent work to reduce the fossil fuel refining in #Russia by about 20%.

And investing in East West coast to coast grid connections lets Canadian provinces share renewable electricity generation and demand.

Great job! Good science.
Thanks for sharing your experience so others can see how possible it is to shift from polluting power to cleaner power for our homes.

For many homes making one gas appliance an electric appliance is the affordable path forward.

Research finds that Canada’s emissions have remained largely stable or even increased in some sectors, making it one of the highest per-capita emitters globally.

While oil and gas companies state their strategy is working towards net zero by funding companies that look like they’re contributing to the fight against climate change, they are in fact developing innovative ways to sell more oil and gas.
