They're delegitimizing themselves in substance by subverting the Constitution and aiding the establishment of a lawless autocracy. But they're further delegitimizing themselves because they really don't understand, and can't even halfway convincingly mimic, how the Court is supposed to function.

I got some imported sourdough starter from some island off Italy about ten years ago. It's a milder flavor than San Francisco style but wonderful texture and gluten development. All starters eventually take on the local microbiome, as you probably know.

I think it goes beyond even that for non-Catholics, many of whom will have seen movies where the presence of the host is used to, say, exorcise demons. It’s very close to saying, “You are possessed by an unclean spirit only the power of Christ can compel.” It’s the ultimate, “I’m praying for you.”

Have we seen video of the arrests? Serious question. Because all I hear is that they were violent and unjustified and I hear it from people who might or might not have an ax to grind. That said, some cops will go over the line no matter what orders they've been given.

I do a similar thing now that I'm retired. I look at a project and think "Cool, three eight hour days should do it!" But I forget that there is no longer any such thing as an eight hour day. Three hours max, two probably.
