Gorgeous hills, scenery, single track, and of course gravel.

Good places to stop for coffee and food.

Some walking required depending on skill/fitness out West, but nothing really out of the norm for that part of Scotland. 😅

Recommended checking out. Inversnaid to Callander section is heavenly.

Absolutely fabulous weekend out with 3 fellow Dawn Patrollers.

Future dual citizen here, already immigrated to Scotland permanently.

Hard thought is to be given on whether or not to keep birth citizenship. 15 years out next year.

Many foreign banks have some ties to global finances in some way.

Most banks I’ve seen all ask if you’re a US citizen for banking purposes - as they have to report on you for compliance reasons.

They don’t mess about. Same with investing. Absolute minefield.

Unless - maybe - you’re mega rich.

I think the biggest shocks to my system after coming back remain the following:

1. How much better shopping is for almost anything there.
2. Food quality is better & grocery shops are fresher/better stocked.
3. How absolutely dirty British streets are.

#3 perhaps being the most obvious and gross.

Well I’m back from 2 weeks in Japan.

It was brilliant.

It happened that I mostly stayed off social media and was just be present in it all.

The huge influx of tourists is extremely apparent in Tokyo and Osaka.

Kanazawa, Toyama, Fukuyama, and Tomonoura were delightful.

Already miss it.

Is there any reason why the council cannot put some focus on parking wardens coming through here on a more regular basis - it would be easy enforcement and surely a net positive for costs?
