Stop calling the most American thing- “freedom to assemble”- a terrorist organization. Peaceful protest is the American way. If you feel that way- guess what…….you are the ones that hate America. It has been our foundation for almost 250 years. Be peaceful, because they will try to make trouble.

roberts thinks it is an affront that a community of upstanding citizens can not do as it chooses when it comes to voting. if that means that they might discriminate against a racial minority, he has no problem with that either as long as it is facially neutral.

Everything about John Roberts's approach to the Voting Rights Act makes sense when you remember that John Roberts has has always been hostile to the Voting Rights Act, never believed it was appropriate, and has spent most of his 45-year legal career working to hollow it out.
One of the Biggest Cases of the Supreme Court’s Term Is John Roberts’ Decadeslong Pet Project
If there’s one thing the Roberts court has been consistent on, it’s this.

THUNE: These premiums are going up a little bit b/c of the expiration of the enhanced tax credits

VITALI: I think people hearing their premiums are doubling don't feel that it's a little bit

T: I'm just saying only a small part of that is attributable to the expiration of the enhanced tax credits

I mean, we don't have to guess how an outlet that sees this regime as a massive breach of public faith would cover it from the right. But pretty much every media outlet has moved to the right of Drudge.

Always exciting to be in a coffee shop in Ohio and overhear people complaining that "people treat us like we're hicks!" and agreeing that there's no way they could be confused for "hillbillies" if people only knew "how welcoming and friendly we are, not like *those people*"

Roberts has always felt that the suggestion that white people might discriminate on the basis of race is a profound moral injustice, much greater than black people being denied the right to vote bsky.app/profile/jayw...

Speaking of the Epstein files. Perhaps there's another reason Mike Johnson is doing everything he can to block release.
Remember this? It was one of several disturbing stories about Johnson that seem to have been forgotten. Johnson's adopted son. Weird.

It's almost like chronically ill people can be a lot more likely of being stuck in relationships where people hate them bc they can't work. Everyone else thinks it's their fault.

ICE's military raids and masked kidnappings are resonating deeply/negatively in the cultural spaces we keep hearing Dems need to reach: Manosphere, Joe Rogan, country music, disengaged voters. That's rare and it gives Dems a big opening to engage.

Thoughts on this:
