Yeah, I think this is the key insight. Nobody here is capable of generating a theory of mind for the "moderate" Trump supporter or the indifferent in late 2025. It's like trying to see the world through the eyes of a turkey with brain damage. We're all feeling our way through the dark.

Hard to understand how the origin can be unknown. Harder to understand how the origin can be unknown yet the fact that it's a nuke is known. Maybe they explain all of this somehow, but it's put me on a skeptical footing already.

Also, you don't actually have to tell them you are fake. A wide range of vaguely diest sentiments can get you by in all but the most fundamentalist or pentecostal churches.
