In the US, each state has its own election laws. Many states have closed primary elections. Only Democrats can pick the Democratic candidate for the general election. Likewise for Republicans.

I see this differently than those who think this is intended to make Americans sicker. I think it’s part of a plan replace fed workers w/ contractors so that billion-dollar firms can make even more $$ off our tax dollars. MMW, we’ll spend more on contract work than these fed employees ever cost us.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.
