Pretend human and own worst enemy. What am I doing here? Where is this? Do I really need to share my opinion on anything? Why should anyone care? Ignore the creature behind the curtain!!! Do not perceive!

*twitches in old* people are making t-shirt bras with molded nipples on them??? I was pretty sure the point of a t-shirt bra was to prevent nippling. Nipplage?

Daily bunny no.3105 needs to ask nicely
Two bunnies stand at the foot of an old brick wall, in a forest somewhere. There is a small door in the wall, the only way through. At the top of the wall are four blackbirds, one of which has the key in its beak. The bunnies implore the bird for the key

Ea-Nāşir's perfidy seems eternal!
Comic

Panel one. Stick finger singing, "Raindrops on rose/ And whiskers on kittens."

Panel two. Same stick figure holding pot and singing, "Bright copper kettles leave/ ...Flakes on my mittens!?"

Panel three. Same figure still holding pot and singing, "Hey, these are stone with a copper veneer!"

Fourth panel. Same stick figure has put down pot and is singing, "I've been bamboozled by Ea-Nāşir!"

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).
Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist):

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Two and a half weeks out from release & this holesome little book is STILL in the top TEN on Am*zon!

My favorite part of that is knowing y'all will retaliate by requesting it from your local libraries & indies 🥰🥰🥰

The video thing seems super helpful!!! I have such bad sense of how my body moves, being able to see video of it is invaluable

Direction to put weight behind the motion, rolling the ball off the fingers to add that much more length on the fling and fine tune the direction and rotation and then the follow through of the body to add the most power possible
grumpymartian.bsky.social
Right but you still have to draw back your arm to get the full motion. Its ideally one fluid motion but on a biomechanics level there’s like 6 steps, pulling back the arm to get tension, rotating to gain momentum, aligning all the components of the arm to fling, pointing your body in the same

FWIW when I was doing karate it suddenly made sense that everything had to line up like pistons, if you are off alignment there's no oomph. So you have to line everything up pulling back the piston then again pushing everything forward.

RUDE! I hate it. I also hate that I can't stay up all night to make up for anymore.
