Things left in the shed have such weight. I mind my grandfather’s tins of screws and bolts and his oiled and prized micrometers, depth and surface gauges after he passed. Things in the shed are weighty and we treasure them, for they are what we remember. Take care, Fi. X

I used a 21mm hole saw in the cordless drill to plant my crocuses. Not sure if the hole saw will ever cut again but it was effective.

I was operating a large puppet in a childrens’ theatre show. Popped a disc in my neck. It hurt a lot. Still does. 14 years later.

Had to do some clearing up in the garden after the storm. Pruned a few things hard, re-staked a couple of trees that were leaning. Chopped up some broken branches for firewood. Felt righteous but a bit stiff last night. Thought I was fine this morning, a few muscles stretched and Sweet Jesussssss!!!

Waiting for a loved one to step through the veil into the far-off land is honestly surreal. I’m not sure if it’s my autistic head or it’s a normal thing to feel??? There’s loss, sadness, guilt, but also the tiny part of me that wishes it was all over so the living can go on living again.

Been to a lot of places in the States. Chicago is the one city that I feel most at home. Didn’t get mugged in East Division, went to Wrigley Field, drove on the Dan Ryan and didn’t get lost, saw the Picasso, found the Kingston Mines… Chicago is my kind of town and F**k ICE and TRUMP and the GOP.
