Cause there is intense backlash when it's suggested that for example, we might have to reduce the amount of cattle raised for milking cause it's killing our rivers, but not the same amount when homes are destroyed in floods cause it's still seen as an act of God

It's actually stunning. But it shows that the lobby groups have managed to really convince people that business interests like agribusiness and data centers et are one and the same with the public good, even when they actively harm the public good
