Keep in mind, we could have already advanced so much in this field if, for political reasons, mRNA vaccines were not severely attacked over the past 5 years. We are closer than ever to a cure for #MultipleSclerosis, and that involves preventing #EBV from damaging the brain.
Common virus jab could be key in fight against multiple sclerosis
The vaccine will be trialled in patients recently diagnosed with MS

So, without much ado, we've kind of lost the first major city to climate change. (Tehran, metropolitan area 15 million people.)
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: “When we proposed relocating the capital, we lacked the budget…

“People said it was impossible, but now it’s no longer optional.

“We can’t keep adding population and construction here. Expansion is possible, but the water problem cannot be solved.”

Judicial reviews are very often the last resort local communities have in defending nature against greedy corporate interests + rotten planning.

The gov. wants to undermine that via false blame for the housing crisis, etc.

Judicial reviews serve the common good
Rather than castigating public-spirited ordinary people concerned by planning problems, the Government should focus on properly resourcing the planning and legal systems

A new #painting. "Cill Chiaráin". Kilkieran if you prefer. One ridiculous perfect day in South Connemara I was painting by the side of a road. Everywhere I looked I saw more paintings I knew I'd paint later. This is later. I love this part of the world. Love it. #ArtYear #SpeirGhorm #MountainMonday

Well this is just flagrantly anti-democratic, isn't it?

Only those of significant financial means would be able to afford a judicial review of a planning decision.

The "Critical Infrastructure" argument being put forward by the government is bullshit.

Objectors will have to foot six-figure legal bills for successful judicial review cases in a new move being brought to the Cabinet to speed up the supply of infrastructure and housing.

I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.

And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.

What does OpenAI offer the world?

OpenAI is an evil corporation. The reports about suicides (plural!) related to ChatGPT are absolutely harrowing.

I've never really understood the logic of "targeted vaccination".

Of course, money is a huge issue and we seek to get the most out of every £ spent.

Of course COVID and flu waves would be far worse without it.

But, what doesn't sit well for me is the following...

It is not an exaggeration to say that we should be acting on the climate crisis on the same scale that we would a war. It will cause that kind of damage. Instead, we’re treating it as if it’s a Tidy Towns competition.

Airbnb operators are extracting wealth from *spare housing* during a *housing crisis*.

They should be social pariahs.
Data centres are to energy as Airbnbs are to housing.

They devour the supply, inflate the costs, and destabilise the entire system.

Societal vampires.
