The fact that he was found guilty of criminal damage doesn't make the headline, and the person whose property he damaged is described as a "transgender activist" but Linehan has "well-publicised strong views on gender issues". 🙄

if Peadar Tóibín can understand that a high rate of successful appeals on refused disability payments means that lots of eligible people are being refused in the first instance, why can he not understand the same is true for asylum seekers

Why on earth would Nick want to trigger harassement towards a rape crisis centre of all places with this post? I don't understand. Does he think people aren't gonna be impacted by sexual violence in asylum centres? I certainly had sources dealing with domestic & sexual violence in centres.
