This is kind of why Vought's "The RIFs begin today" tweet today just hits differently now than it would have earlier this year. It reads like a really unconvincing bluff and even if he does follow through, who cares? He would have done it anyway.

This all strikes me as another transparent bluff on Vought's part. Last week they were speculating that maybe they didn't need to pay federal workers backpay. Now "the RIFs have begun." Uh-huh. I'll believe it when I see it.
