Typical of a Sharlayan upbringing, Rain'li had a rather utilitarian diet. He never wanted for proper nutrition, but it tended to lack much flavor or variety. However, his palate has changed dramatically since his childhood and he now has an almost obsessive enthusiasm for sampling local cuisines.

Turned up a fascinating piece of lore in my research for this project. In the level 52 alchemist leve Steeling the Knife, Steeling the Mind, it is revealed that the smiths who forge chirurgeon's instruments often imbue them with cognitive enhancing magical properties for focus.

I have seen folks in this fandom that have compiled incredible lore references for things such as fish, plants, languages, and so on. Has anyone done such a thing for healing related lore? I have some ideas for a project, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Honestly, I appreciate you pointing out the shift. I added a picture to a recent question for flavor because I had seen others doing so, but I felt pretty uncomfortable about having done so afterwards and couldn't put my finger on why.

Real life stuff, I just removed an older patient's sutures and she was great. She stared right at them the whole time, "because it's just so satisfying to watch," and kept saying things like, "You're doing such a great job, sweetheart." Responded to my "let me know if I'm hurting you" with "pshht."
