Finally made a carrd - this is still a work in progress, but I'm pleased with how it's coming together so far and I really appreciate everyone who encouraged me to try it.

As has been said many a time: healers make the worst patients. Rain'li *will* push himself too hard, make it worse, and then still have the gall to nitpick when he eventually needs help.

While we're on the topic: I think more people should free themselves from the idea that every ship needs to be an "endgame" ship, whatever that means for them. Have a one-night stand or a casual fling with an NPC! Have them be exes! Happily Ever After is great too, but it's not the only option!

A patient at my job brought me homemade apricot shortbread cookies today. A month or two ago, I was gifted a pair of hand-knit socks in my favorite colors. I can't think of a better measure that I'm doing something right here.

G'raha was a gradual thing, I can't really pin down an exact moment where it became official.

I think I'm done? Maybe one more editing pass. I can't believe I wrote this. 8500 words, and I made them myself! Fucking unbelievable. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again (I started four WIP folders while I was working on this).

Rain'li's care comes through quiet actions. What he knows and the things he remembers about someone - a food they dislike or a favorite drink. When he makes room in his heart for someone their desires and preferences begin getting equal consideration to his own.

Rain'li is somewhere in the middle. He is from Sharlayan, but he also abandoned his formal education to experience the broader world in his youth and does not regret his decision. However, he also took advantage of his extended convalescence after Endwalker to complete his education.

I genuinely love seeing how different everyone's responses are re: favorite expansions. Everyone has different things they value in a story, and I believe that one of the great things about FFXIV is that it offers enough variety in the stories it tells that we can all find something meaningful there

ARR, I fell in love with this world. Heavensward, I fell in love with this story. Stormblood was my first full current expansion. Shadowbringers literally saved my life. Endwalker is when Rain'li really came to be. Dawntrail's themes give a lot to him as a character. They defy comparison for me.
