The flaming zombie scene? That's really strange. It looks good but zombies must be dry as heck. Even that is a reason that old zombies couldn't exist. How do they retain moisture? They'd fall apart. It has to be magic basically.

Well exactly. Given the prevalence of knives and medieval weapons in the UK... But there would be guns. The army would react, armed police, even criminals would circulate guns but unless bullets are being made I doubt after 12yrs anyone would be using guns.
