Quick update on what we just saw here—*before curfew*, ISP troopers, Broadview PD and CCSO deputies began menacing demonstrators outside the ICE facility. Several arrests.

Pepper ball guns at the ready, a bit of a standoff going with remaining protesters. All people are doing is playing music.

Troopers just violently attacked protesters, tackled several, several arrests, shoving activists and press with batons.

the gutting of environmental protections means that more chemicals are being put in the water to make the frogs gay.

I was looking at frog masks, to show solidarity with Portland frog, and there were also fucking Pepe masks, and it really bummed me out, like what if people thought I was doing a Pepe thing. 😞

I'm hoping that this is the way that Matt Furie is finally able to reclaim Pepe. Furie has made it clear that he doesn't want his creation associated with people who promote hatred, racism and bigotry.

I love the frog costumes. We need more people being creative, having fun, and making our movements more legible and understandable (and funny)

Desperately needed the lightheartedness lately. It's also a shame that it took this for people to listen to a protester.

I've seen a couple of accts grumbling about "yOu'Re nOt dOiNg eNoUgH." Diversity of tactics includes breaking up fake narratives. And standing out from the crowd takes bravery.
