Beyond MN, people need to revitalize and repair those mutual aid networks that kept their communities alive in 2020. Fresh starts full of everything you learned.

There will come a point where this government quits & moves on or says fuck it & unleashes hell on us all. This middle will not last.

actually communicating “I’m here and I’m working for you and here’s how” is an aspect of governing that’s neglected by far too many people who think the work speaks for itself (or, frankly, don’t have the communication chops Zohran does)

this is how you combat the forces that want to make you fail

Fucking don't
Every person on Bluesky should know:
* Every post on Bluesky is PUBLIC forever
* Every post on Bluesky is archived by ICE, NSA, and many other agencies
* Even if you delete a post, it’s already been captured
* Judges don’t care if you were “kidding” or being ironic

Context: it is very common for somebody doing concealed carry to have an extra magazine, either in a separate holder or sometimes built into the gun holster itself. Especially if you're talking a "posts on gun forums" kind of guy.

The Russians have "General Winter" and he's been the best general Russia has ever had, having kicked both Napoleon and Hitler's asses.

Minneapolis just showed us that we have "General Strike" on our side, ready to go when they try this shit.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

I'm not one for false optimism. But what I witnessed today in Minneapolis was tremendous, both in scale and exuberance. It was a stunning answer to the federal assault on Minnesota, a show of solidarity that gives us something to hold on to during times that are unforgiving.
