And they grew up learning how to dress nicely and grift old white weirdos into financing their harebraned schemes(see: Kirk, Charlie).

We are not the same.

Tonight, far-right media pundits are wringing their hands over a little vandalism and noise.

Remember, ICE callously executed a man yesterday and the highest authorities in the federal government blatantly lied, insulting the deceased and the intelligence of everyone who saw the videos.

Carry on.
Minneapolis, MN -

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

👀
Pay attention Washington State: The right wing propagandists give away the whole plot. But you have to pay attention. These are all pretexts to invasion. They foment a bunch of bullshit rhetoric and then invade. Its a pattern. bsky.app/profile/casc...
Have you all seen that the propagandist are also trying to spread this fake daycare fraud narrative in Washington State? That eastern WA rep Michael Baumgartner and the head of the state GOP: Jim Walsh, a constitutional sheriff in Pierce Co and multiple “influencers” are fomenting this lie?

well there's MPD arresting protesters again with a fuckin' tank so I guess the mayor really just talks big eh
Minneapolis, MN -

Many many more agents filing into the area around the hotel. Minneapolis PD announcing everyone is under arrest, telling them to sit down with their hands up. An ad hoc journalist squad being told to go further down the street. Chemicals irritant deployed in the road.

In no world do cops end up on the street the day after they killed someone. They are immediately placed on administrative leave. This isn't controversial.

Soldiers are on the streets the day after they kill people...
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know.

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

Not trying to be inflammatory or hyperbolic here, but I can’t stop thinking that we’d have no problem speaking about this in clear terms of condemnation and alarm if it was happening in another country
Carrying out violence against a targeted group with the goal of affecting political outcomes is how this country defines terrorism and I am struggling to come up with a clear reason why the federal rampage on Minneapolis shouldn’t be thought of that way
Pam Bondi's conditions for Minnesota: 1) give us all your state data on your food programs, including SNAP 2) repeal all your sanctuary policies in the state (since it has led to "so much crime and violence") and 3) hand over your state voting rolls. Letter here: www.fox9.com/news/minneap...

Beyond MN, people need to revitalize and repair those mutual aid networks that kept their communities alive in 2020. Fresh starts full of everything you learned.

There will come a point where this government quits & moves on or says fuck it & unleashes hell on us all. This middle will not last.

actually communicating “I’m here and I’m working for you and here’s how” is an aspect of governing that’s neglected by far too many people who think the work speaks for itself (or, frankly, don’t have the communication chops Zohran does)

this is how you combat the forces that want to make you fail
We're getting a snowstorm tomorrow. But New York City is prepared.

* Every post on Bluesky is archived by ICE, NSA, and many other agencies
* Even if you delete a post, it’s already been captured

It's genuinely a leaderless (or leaderful) movement, decentralized in a way that the state is absolutely unequipped to handle. There are a few basic skills involved, and so people teach each other those skills, and people are collectively refining them.
