The man, who police said was 55 years old and lived in Arlington, told police that he shouted at the students, telling them they should be in school, according to the police department release. The man told police that students shouted profanities at him and called him a pedophile, at which point he turned his car around and confronted the protesters. After the cup was thrown in his direction, he told police that he said, “This is how people get shot,” and drove away to a nearby parking lot to call 911. Police wrote that they did not find any firearms on the man or in his vehicle.

I'm not questioning her integrity. Sorry if that's how it came off. I'm saying with the absolute utmost sincerity that I hope that WHOEVER the unlucky Mayor is that has to deal with these Nazi goons next, here or elsewhere has a good plan for how to deal with them on that level, cause we need one.

I've been listening to this band a lot lately. Found an interview with one of the founders, @henrycluney.bsky.social and what he said as someone who grew up in Belfast during "The Troubles"(yeah ,THOSE Troubles) kinda haunts me...
Interviewer: You brought up Protestants and Catholics, which was a sectarian conflict. But sectarian politics is ultimately just street politics. When you think about your experience, your music, and connect those dots, have we circled back to a new era of street politics? Henry Cluney: Unfortunately, it seems to be getting worse here [in the US]. A lot of it reminds me of back home, even though I’ve been here 28 years. It’s almost starting to get me scared. We had The Troubles. We sometimes had people being murdered for politics. You look at things here, this whole Charlie Kirk thing. What are people going to make out of that, how much are they going to use that as an excuse? And I find that way scarier here than it was back home. We never had politicians telling people that there’s going to come a time where you’re going to have to take up arms against the other type, which is a horrible thing to say.
