I really love Halo: Combat Evolved and love any excuse to replay Halo: Combat Evolved but I’m not going to lie, putting out another remake and rerelease of Halo: Combat Evolved feels like the most “we don’t know what to do with Halo anymore, hit the emergency button” decision one could make

Yep. On mobile have image, video, gif (for browsing tenor). Video button doesn’t show gifs in camera roll. Image button sometimes but not all the time switches it to a single frame a few minutes AFTER it was uploaded, so it’s some kind of post upload optimisation happening server side I think.

All the usual points about AWS controlling large parts of the internet apply; but what’s more concerning is that it was only a US data centre that was out. So why was so much UK specific infrastructure affected? US-EAST-1 is a default AWS location - are people just spinning up shit anywhere?
