Sure, fine, me too. It'll get me writing non-angry things on here I think.

I saw a dermatologist today. The thing I was first concerned about was immediately declared nothing. But two moles got biopsied. Not because they're likely to be issues, but out of an abundance of caution.

The entire American economy is being held hostage to the whims of a guy who doesn’t understand how the economy works

For real. I mean, on the one hand it's good that people from outside it all are getting some insight. But that means those of us who lived it have to see more of it and ugh.

A Christianity that is known for its cruelty is a Christianity that no longer knows Christ.

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." -Jesus

I forget the exact words used, but they were the equivalent of 'beep boop'. Clankers get no mercy from the block button.

On the 18th we need to be vigilant for increased violence and provocation by both law enforcement and counter-protestors, both of which will be used to try to justify more violence and authoritarianism.

I found the war on Christianity

Federal agents aren’t trying to keep the peace. They want violence to escalate so that Trump can declare martial law.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

Worth a friendly reminder that the next set of nation-wide No Kings protests are set for October 18th.

There's probably one in your area.

I am not generally a crowds or protests sort of person, but there's one in my town and I'll be at it on the 18th.

No Kings
As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power ...

“One of the chants that has become ubiquitous at these protests at Broadview is, ‘Love your neighbor, love your God, save your soul and quit your job,’” said Black, who pastors at the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago. “Everybody chants that.”

Gonna say it, not enough games about defeating Klansmen, Confederates or neo-Confederates.

SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

Wen should direct more attention to incidents like these because Americans are more likely to respond to brutality to pets than to brutality to human beings.

EL PASO — a family says ICE showed up at their house looking for migrants and shot and KILLED THEIR DOG, then didn’t help them as the agent ran away and was not identified.

I like how the news will be like “while the President claiming Portland was ruled by a giant skeleton named Mr Nibbles is not strictly true, it does speak to the anxiety of many Americans”

The Eel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Rutgers’ Turning Point USA chapter claims the presence of this professor, whose work has closely examined antifascist movements, threatens them.

So they're admitting they're a fascist organization
audreytruschke.bsky.social
A Rutgers professor has been forced to flee the country for his safety, after targeting by a far-right student group that was *checks notes* claiming they felt unsafe.

I'm horrified.
I'm angry.

Oh hey, the longer-term engineering tasks I've been saying we need to not neglect have become pressing. Again.

On the one hand, it's nice to be consistently right. On the other, it'd be nice to not have things become crises before we address them.
