Yes of course. But the worst job housing balances are SF San Mateo and Santa Clara so it sucks but its worth it over no sb 79

Im stuck on this stage of Subway Builders. Once you buy your train cars, how do you add them into service? pressing the frequency button doesnt seem to add train cars I've bought.

For years, San Franciscans considered him the rare big-hearted billionaire. But days before his Dreamforce conference begins, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said he would support President Trump sending the National Guard to SF and that Trump is doing “a great job.”

SB 79 requires counties to have 16 or more rail stations. It was originally 15 but I got a feeling it was bumped to 16 to exclude CCC which has exactly 15 rail stops. SB 79 allows future counties to be included if they get 16 rail stops.

Cmon @bart.gov convert the transfer platform into a formal BART station already! It should've been one from day 1! Contra Costa will be included in SB 79 and your stations will get more riders!

If there's one takeaway from the SB79 victory, it's this: never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed [posters] can change the world.

Important to remember that not only did we pass #SB79, the biggest transit-oriented upzoning bill ever, we also passed a clean CEQA exemption for new multifamily infill housing.

This is, bar none, the biggest year in state action on housing policy reform in California history. Not even close.

Per the law, its the pedestrian access point. Its not entirely clear where this is, but on OpenStreetMaps they ID station access points. Elevators is obviously a ped access point. My map is measuring from the NBB elevator and from the NBB main entrance.

Big day for the posting to policy pipeline.

You also have to put in an elevator at 4 stories, so typical urban lots in the Bay Area are going to remain 3 stories. SB 79 isnt a high-rise bill or mid-rise bill its a Missing Middle thing. While allowng for mid and highrises near huge parcels not usually situated in residential streets

On typical small urban lots in the East Bay, I just cant see developers eclipsing 3 or 4 stories with such minimal dwelling units allowances. SB 79 will be a big deal on bigger lots, but neighborhood lots will be a return to the mid-century apartments: 3 story complexes with a dozen units.

This is my SB 79 rezoning map for Berkeley based on nearest pedestrian access points, any % of a lot in range being eligible per SB 79's texts. Its going to be more like a Middle Housing bonus than even mid-rises, really.

SB 79 is not much bigger than Berkeley's Missing Middle. Take a typical 5k lot in Berk.
- MM : 3 stories, 75 dua (8 du)
- SB 79 : 0.25 mi from rail: 7 stories, 120 dua (14 du)
- 0.5 mi from rail or 0.25 from major bus: 6 stories, 100 dua (11 du)
- 0.5 mi from major bus: 5 stories, 80 dua. (9 du)
