This cactus was the star and start of my cactus collection and addiction. I had to set an alarm to not miss this beautiful sight. It grew too large and was donated to a larger collection 🌵💘

Salvia leucantha or Mexican brush sage really takes over the garden in autumn with big six foot tall clumps of purple spears with fuzzy white blooms calling the bees to visit 😃

Japanese anemone and a hoverfly. #DailyBotanicalBeauty #photography #flowers
A close-up photo of a hoverfly feeding on the pollen of a pale pink Japanese anemone flower with a bright yellow centre, surrounded by other softly focused blooms and buds in the background.

Tōtara bonsai forest
Yep beautiful. Landscape and moss work is top notch too.
Display stand & pot 👍

Tōtara is already my fav plus forests are my thing so this is my spirit display.

Tōtara bonsai forest with moss covered landscape and path through the left third. Planted in a shaped and contoured low profile pot. On a slab of dark glossy timber that matched the pot shape. To the right front the accent is a moss covered rock on a small thin round wood slab.

#SixOnSaturday this week is definitely #Autumn looking flowers and cattails. The flowers of one of my aloes looks like nature’s candy corn 😂 a drought busting nor’easter will arrive later today

I do welcome the rain but the wind is what will do damage. Hopefully we will have minimal wind 🙏

We now have sooo many human rights issues here I would be disgusted if they even thought about giving it to that 🤡

More Atala #butterflies on the way! (Eumaeus atala) I counted 18 #caterpillars on one small coontie plant (Zamia integrifolia) this morning. It’s almost totally defoliated now, but that’s why I grow them. More leaves will come out before too long. 🌱 #MyGarden #Insects #Cycads
