Chilling. Former Prescott resident is harshly mistreated by the PPD in ‘Everybody’s Hometown’…

“I was prosecuted with extreme prejudice,” he said. “No one did their due diligence. Nobody was interested in finding out the truth. They only wanted to go with what their friend said.”

Third world thuggery is happening in the USA thanks to MAGA.

It doesn’t have to be like this.

Adelita Grijalva needs to be sworn in
NOW. It's an essential part of the democratic process. #swearherin

Arizona groups - we need to be as vocal as we can about this! Many Arizonans don’t have representation right now, and we need that to change.

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

This is terrifying!

ICE breaks into this woman’s car in the pick-up line at West Loop Elementary school in Chicago and detains her before she can pick her kids up from school. (They were eventually let go after showing their documents)

This is Trump’s America.

The threat of legal consequences would perhaps be taken more seriously had the DOJ insured real accountability between 1/20/2021 and 1/20/2025. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This is good, from Hakeem Jeffries. More of this please, in every conceivable forum:

"Sycophants who aid and abet the President’s vengeful schemes will not be able to hide from the serious legal consequences of their behavior. They will be held accountable."

Zero chance that this is true.

Gotta say--dressing up in costumes is the kind of creatively brilliant resistance we all need. It brings joy and humor to things while vividly painting the authoritarian as foolish and absurd. Hats off Portlanders! @benjaminwittes.lawfaremedia.org I think this counts as the sprite of mischief.

One would think that after seeing something like this it would be an appropriate time to invoke the 25th Amendment. 🤷🏼‍♂️

WSJ: President Trump believed his Truth Social post demanding prosecutions of James Comey and other political foes was a private message to his attorney general, and "and was surprised to learn it was public."

🚨HOLY SHIT: Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego just confronted Mike Johnson as he walked by - and grilled him for “covering up” for predators by pushing Adelitta Grijalva’s swearing in.

This is how you confront COWARDS - with the truth and cameras rolling.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

The overreach of the Jim Crow regime in response to peaceful lawful protest brought it down

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

Only the military remains outside Trump’s grip. Despite the firing of several top officers—and his threat to fire more—the U.S. armed forces are still led by generals and admirals whose oath is to the Constitution, not the president. But for how long?

Things like "constitutions" or "principles" or "the rule of law" only have the power to constrain what politicians do if those politicians (& the people who vote for them) actually believe in them and are willing to adhere to them. If all you believe in is your own righteousness, then anything goes.
