We didn’t know he lost his eyebrows before 2004!

The 90s Thrawn books suggest Vader lost that hand to the Emperor for losing Luke in The Empire Strikes Back.

A thing that probably seems weird now. We didn’t know Vader had a mechanical hand till 1983. We didn’t know (for sure) that he had mechanical legs until 2005.

Our long Mini-Con nightmare will soon be at an end

Basically, yes. But we're not likely to specify decimal placements with those rare exceptions of things that happened within the year on either side of the event.

Well, that's the general back-story of the Inquisitors. Join or die.

#botaday Sea Micron Exdimensions. A redeco of the Sea Mini-Con Team , this trio was a 2003 release in the Legends of the Microns line. The group consists of (from left to right) Sail (a solar-sail equipped boat), Float (a hovercraft), and Knot (a speedboat).
Black and white illustration of three humanoid robots. On the left is one with big turbine-shaped housings at the side of his head, flat arm armor covered in solar panels, and legs made up of the front half of a nautical vessel. The one in the middle, crouching, has a chest made up of the front section of a hovercraft inflatable skirt. His legs are the tail section of the hovercraft, with cowled fans for feet. The robot on the right is standing tall and has the split halves of a boat hull for shoulders, and his legs have outboard motors for knees.

Not necessarily. We just know for sure how close those stories are relative to TFA because it factored into their construction and won't likely change. But because decades separate TFA and ANH, there's less likelihood of getting that specific down to the months.

I tend to think it would require a narrative story to define what ship that is or isn't.

I don't know. I'm sure some of it is good faith, and some of it bad faith misrepresentation. A big part is may be using the word 'canon' in communications: b/c some people take it to mean 'thing that can't ever change' and not 'thing that should be considered.' Or that these stories aren't fiction.
