Access to safe abortion protects the health of women and girls.

As with all other health services, women and girls should be able to access safe and respectful abortion care, when they need it, without fear of harm, punishment or recrimination.

In this piece, @claudiasterbini.bsky.social & @keiranwilson.bsky.social challenge the medical humanities' reliance on disciplinary hierarchies and call for a radical rethinking that dismantles, rather than crosses, boundaries.

Really looking forward to attending my first ever writers conference organised by @writingwestmids.bsky.social at the end of May!

Learning more about the industry and hopefully connecting with other writers feels so helpful for an emerging writer like myself.

I'm actually really enjoying the process of reconnecting with the Irish half of myself in such a creative way 💚

Switching from creative writing to academic writing seems to be mildly jarring my brain.
Might have to do a creative detox until the end of May 🥲

I want writers to know that in my little corner of the internet, it is absolutely okay (and encouraged!) to be proud of your work and to speak well of it.

Particularly women, POC, disabled people & queer folks. It is not audacious to take up space. Your words matter.
